One of Nigeria’s longest-running television comedies, My Flatmates, is casting new actors for its tenth season, with creator and producer Basketmouth inviting aspiring performers to audition in Lagos this weekend.
The open casting call, announced by Basketmouth’s Barons World Entertainment, is seeking performers aged 13 to 60 for roles in the new season of the sitcom, which has become a fixture of Nigerian comedy television over the past decade.
Unlike productions that cast exclusively through agencies, the series is again opening auditions to the public, giving emerging actors the chance to compete for roles alongside established performers.
A sitcom that helped launch careers
Since its debut, My Flatmates has built a reputation as one of Nigeria’s most recognisable comedy series, combining everyday Nigerian life with ensemble storytelling and satire.
Across multiple seasons, the show has featured a mix of veteran actors and newcomers, making it one of the country’s more consistent platforms for discovering fresh talent.

- Eligibility: Actors aged 13–60
- Requirement: Applicants are expected to come with a 5×7 headshot photograph.
