Veteran Nollywood actress Ngozi Nwosu has made a heartfelt appeal to Nigerians for financial assistance, revealing that she needs ₦30 million to undergo three urgent surgeries as she battles a serious health condition.
The actress disclosed in an emotional video shared on her official Instagram page on Thursday that she has been receiving treatment in hospital for the past three weeks and is no longer able to bear the mounting medical expenses.
Addressing her fans, colleagues and supporters, Nwosu explained that her condition had reached a critical stage, prompting her to seek public help.
“My people, my fans and my family, I know that you’ve not seen me in circulation for some time. I’ve been hospitalised now for three weeks. Please, the thing has gone beyond my control,” she said.
Fighting back emotion, the veteran actress pleaded with Nigerians not to abandon her during what she described as one of the most difficult periods of her life.
“I need your help. Don’t let me die. I know that you people never forsake me. I’m begging you, my fans and family, don’t let me die because I am going through a lot, as in pain.”
Actress says three surgeries are required
Nwosu revealed that doctors have recommended three separate surgeries as part of her treatment.
She encouraged individuals willing to assist to reach out to her management team, saying they would provide the necessary details for donations and other forms of support.
In her appeal, she reiterated that the medical procedures are urgent and expressed hope that public generosity would help her receive the treatment she needs.

In the caption accompanying the video, the actress acknowledged that asking for financial assistance publicly was a difficult decision but said the severity of her health situation left her with no alternative.
She wrote that the total amount required for all three surgeries is ₦30 million, urging supporters to share her message and contribute if they are able.
Nwosu also asked prospective donors to contact her legal representative or management for information on how to support her treatment.
Ending her appeal, she prayed that others would never experience similar health challenges.
