President Bola Tinubu has expressed his appreciation to the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) for their unanimous support of four crucial Tax Reform Bills currently being considered by the National Assembly.
The Presidential Spokesperson, Mr Bayo Onanuga stated that the President commended the governors for their strong leadership and dedication to national unity. He highlighted their ability to overcome regional and political differences to work together for Nigeria’s progress.
The President praised the “productive consultation” between the NGF and the Presidential Committee on Tax and Fiscal Policy as a positive example of effective cooperation between the Federal and State governments.

Specifically, the President acknowledged the Governor of Kwara State and Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum for his successful efforts in rallying support among his fellow governors for these crucial tax reform bills. The President also expressed his gratitude to the Progressive Governors Forum, the Northern Governors Forum, and all other groups who played a crucial role in achieving bipartisan support for the tax reform bills.
