The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has paused the upload of results from the Osun state governorship elections on the IREV portal at 87.48%.
As of 11pm on Saturday night, the commission has already uploaded results from 3292 of the state’s 3763 polling units on the portal. However, the last result was uploaded by 8:48pm.
Earlier uploaded results shows the incumbent governor and candidate of the Accord party Ademola Adeleke in the lead with 451,744 votes representing 52.54% of the valid votes cast followed by APC candidate Bola Oyebamiji with 382,689 votes representing 44.51%.
The delay in the upload of the results from the remaining polling units has however caused anxiety amongst voters with INEC not having given reasons for the pause as of the time of this report.
