FMN Holdings Limited is seeking an experienced professional to join its team as a Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability Manager in Apapa, Lagos.
The role is focused on driving sustainable development initiatives, coordinating social investment projects, and managing sustainability and ESG data to support the company’s sustainability strategy, compliance requirements and overall performance.
About the Role
The Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability Manager will play a key role in coordinating FMN’s sustainability activities and ensuring that environmental, social and governance (ESG) priorities are effectively integrated into the organisation’s operations.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for collecting and analysing sustainability data, tracking key performance indicators and supporting sustainability reporting and disclosures.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Identify, drive and coordinate sustainable development initiatives and social investment projects in line with organisational objectives.
- Coordinate and manage FMN’s United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) membership.
- Support the integration of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into business operations.
- Ensure compliance with annual Communication on Progress (CoP) reporting requirements.
- Collect, validate and maintain sustainability data from internal stakeholders and systems.
- Calculate and track sustainability KPIs, including greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, using approved methodologies.
- Support sustainability reporting and disclosures while maintaining a clear audit trail for data sources and calculations.
- Develop and maintain sustainability dashboards and periodic performance reports.
- Analyse trends, identify performance gaps and recommend improvement actions.
Requirements
Applicants should have strong attention to detail and analytical abilities, as well as proficiency in data acquisition, analysis, reporting and presentation.
Candidates should also demonstrate:
- Strong knowledge of sustainability and emerging environmental and social trends, risks and opportunities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- A high level of motivation, adaptability and flexibility.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CAD/CAM design applications.
Educational Qualification
Candidates should possess an HND or B.Sc. in any of the following fields:
- Economics
- Environmental Science
- Sustainability
- Engineering
- Data/Business Analytics
- A related discipline
Relevant professional certifications in areas such as GHG accounting/carbon management, ESG reporting or ISO lead auditing will be an added advantage.
Experience
Applicants must have a minimum of five years’ experience in a similar role.
Familiarity with sustainability reporting or management frameworks and systems, including GRI, SASB/ISSB, TCFD, CDP and ISO 14001, will be an added advantage.
