Job Summary
The ESG Senior Associate supports the delivery of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) advisory engagements for clients across multiple industries.
The role involves conducting ESG assessments, sustainability strategy development, regulatory compliance reviews, reporting and disclosure support, climate risk analysis, and stakeholder engagement activities.
Working as part of multidisciplinary project teams, the ESG Senior Associate contributes technical expertise, manages specific workstreams, supports client relationships, and mentors junior team members while ensuring high-quality project delivery.
Job Details
ESG Strategy and Advisory
Support the development of ESG and sustainability strategies aligned with client business objectives.
Assist clients in identifying material ESG risks, opportunities, and value creation initiatives.
Support the integration of ESG considerations into business operations, investment decisions, and corporate strategy.
ESG Reporting and Disclosure
Prepare and review sustainability reports and ESG disclosures.
Support reporting aligned with frameworks and standards such as:
Global Reporting Initiative (GRI)
International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB)
Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD)
Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB)
Assist in data collection, validation, analysis, and reporting processes.
Develop ESG performance dashboards and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Regulatory and Compliance Support
Monitor emerging ESG regulations, standards, and market expectations.
Conduct compliance assessments against applicable sustainability requirements.
Support ESG due diligence for transactions, investments, and financing activities.
Assist clients in responding to investor, lender, and stakeholder ESG requirements.
Project Delivery and Team Support
Manage assigned project workstreams and deliverables.
Coordinate with internal specialists and client stakeholders.
Review work produced by analysts and associates for quality and accuracy.
Contribute to project planning, status tracking, and risk management activities.
Support engagement managers and assistant managers in delivering projects on time and within budget.
How to Apply
Requirements
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Engineering, Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Public Policy, or a related field.
Master’s degree or relevant sustainability qualification preferred.
Experience
Typically 3–6 years of experience in ESG consulting, sustainability advisory, risk consulting, corporate sustainability, climate advisory, or related fields.
Experience supporting complex consulting engagements and client-facing projects.
Demonstrated understanding of ESG reporting standards, sustainability regulations, and market practices.
Technical Skills
ESG strategy development and materiality assessment.
Sustainability reporting and disclosure.
ESG data management and analytics.
Climate risk and carbon accounting.
ESG due diligence and compliance reviews.
Quantitative and qualitative research capabilities.
