Applications are now open for the AEIP Scholars Programme 2026–2027, a fully sponsored collaborative research initiative by the Africa-Europe Innovation Platform (AEIP). The programme aims to strengthen scientific cooperation between Africa and Europe by pairing emerging scholars to co-create practical, solution-driven research.
A total of 10 young scholars (from both continents) will be selected and matched into five Africa-Europe research pairs based on shared interests and complementary expertise. Each pair will jointly develop research outputs and practical innovations aligned with the AU-EU Innovation Agenda’s Capacities for Science Action.

Eligibility Requirements
– Aged between 25 and 35
– Based in Africa or Europe
– Currently enrolled in a PhD, postdoctoral programme, or further studies
– Possess ongoing or completed research (projects, theses, or dissertations) that aligns with the AU-EU Innovation Agenda
Applicants must submit an **Expression of Interest** including a research abstract that demonstrates relevance, academic quality, innovation potential, and alignment with Africa-Europe priorities.
