Social media commentator Solomon Buchi has renewed his criticism of Tobi Adegboyega and SPAC Nation, claiming that former and current members have continued to come forward with allegations about the church’s operations and financial practices.
In a recent video, Buchi said several former members had contacted him following an earlier commentary on the church. According to him, some current members seeking to leave the organisation had also reached out privately.
“Ever since I made the last video, a lot of people, ex-members of your cult, have reached out to me. Some people who are still members of the cult who are trying to find their way out reached out to me,” Buchi said.

He added that he had scheduled a conversation with a former member who, according to him, intended to discuss how the organisation allegedly operated.
“I have a call scheduled with one of your ex-cult members who’s going to be telling me a lot about how you guys operate,” he said.
Buchi then shared what he described as a direct message from an anonymous individual alleging that a relative had suffered significant financial losses through an investment arrangement purportedly linked to Adegboyega.
According to Buchi, the message stated: “Please keep me anonymous.
“Regarding Toby, aside from the cult antics that they are playing with young people, they are also running a Ponzi type scheme. If it did not happen to my uncle, I would have never believed it was even possible.
“The long and short of it is that he claims to run a business that you invest in. You put your house down as collateral and then you receive around £5,000 a month.
“My uncle said that for the first two months, everything was fine. They received the payments and then by the third month, things started to go completely left.
“Payments were half and before you know it, the payments stopped. Somehow along the line, the property was now compromised and the threat of repossession was staring them in the face.
“Guess who the repossession companies run by? Toby.
“I have forgotten the full details but in the end, they lost one property and they had to pay through their nose to keep the second one. I’m talking about £150,000 GBP.”
The allegations have not been independently verified, and neither Adegboyega nor SPAC Nation had publicly responded to the claims at the time of reporting.
Buchi went on to allege that the church had negatively affected the financial standing of many young members and claimed that older individuals had also suffered substantial losses.
“I’m not even talking about young people right now,” he said. “The older generation have lost thousands and a lot of them are planning to come out and speak to the media.”
According to Buchi, several individuals were preparing to publicly share their experiences, adding that he had been in contact with some of them.
The latest accusations add to a series of controversies that have surrounded SPAC Nation in recent years.
Previous Controversies
In 2019, reports emerged that the Metropolitan Police was investigating allegations of fraud and other possible offences linked to SPAC Nation.
At the time, former members and relatives alleged that some young congregants were pressured into making substantial donations, including through loans and other forms of borrowing. Critics of the organisation described it as operating like a cult, an allegation that church representatives rejected.
Media reports also cited claims that some members were encouraged to raise money through various means to meet fundraising targets. Former members further alleged that funds were channelled through businesses linked to senior associates of the church.
SPAC Nation responded to earlier allegations by stating that it did not condone illegal activity by any leader or member and maintained that its mission was to support young people and communities affected by crime and social exclusion.
The organisation has consistently denied wrongdoing and rejected descriptions of the church as a cult.
The renewed allegations come as debate continues over the church’s fundraising practices, governance structure and influence among young people in the United Kingdom.
At the time of publication, Adegboyega and SPAC Nation had not publicly addressed Buchi’s latest allegations..
