Tantalizers PLC, one of Nigeria’s leading quick-service restaurant brands, has announced the acquisition of Grand Media Projects Limited, a respected entertainment company founded by renowned filmmaker Tade Ogidan. The deal marks a significant shift in Tantalizers’ business strategy as it seeks to expand beyond the food industry into Nigeria’s fast-growing media and entertainment space.

In a corporate statement dated May 16, 2025, the company described the acquisition as a key step in its evolution into a “food and entertainment-focused group.” It reflects Tantalizers’ broader ambition to deepen its presence in youth-driven sectors such as digital content, events, and media production.

“This is a quantum leap into content development, branded experiences, and event activations,” said Alhaji Adam Nuru, Chairman of Tantalizers PLC. “The growing intersection between food, lifestyle, and entertainment will deliver huge value to the brand and our stakeholders.”

Tade Ogidan, Chairman of Grand Media, also expressed optimism about the creative potential of the acquisition:

“We are super excited about the creative opportunities this acquisition presents and are confident it will create long-term value for Nigerians and indeed the world,” said Tade Ogidan. “Tantalizers’ tech-driven entertainment platform is a socially-smart initiative and will be a game changer in the industry.”

The acquisition paves the way for synergies between Tantalizers’ extensive customer base and Grand Media’s media assets, with a tech-enabled entertainment platform set to launch in the coming months. This new initiative aims to fuse food, music, storytelling, and events into an immersive brand experience.

With this bold move, Tantalizers is positioning itself as a multi-sector consumer brand that speaks not only to appetites but also to culture, creativity, and connection.
