As the Director of Product Management, you will play a key leadership role, managing the full lifecycle of products, from concept to execution, and ensuring they meet business and customer goals. You will lead a team of Engineering Managers, Software Engineers, QAs, Designers, and cross-functional experts in Compliance and Finance, working together to deliver products that drive value.
Job Purpose
The Director of Product Management is a critical role at Moniepoint, owning product performance and working towards achieving set KPIs. You will represent the customer’s interests, balancing internal and external stakeholder needs to prioritize and execute on product initiatives effectively.
Responsibilities
Management
- Take ownership of KPIs and drive achievement of associated goals for the product.
- Prioritize and execute initiatives to meet product goals efficiently.
- Provide effective management to your team, fostering maximum performance and collaboration.
User Discovery
- Plan and execute user research to drive business outcomes.
- Identify and explore opportunities to solve customer problems, using data to inform decisions.
- Generate ideas that grow market share, improve customer stickiness, and increase revenue.
Product Development
- Clearly define and test product initiatives, ensuring resources are used to build impactful products.
- Align product development with both current customer requirements and future expectations.
Product Analytics
- Define and monitor key product KPIs in line with business objectives.
- Analyze product usage data and generate actionable insights to optimize the product throughout its lifecycle.
Other Responsibilities
- Identify opportunities for improving product monitoring and delivering better value to customers.
- Work closely with technical teams to manage technical debt and ensure ongoing technical health.
- Collaborate with marketing to design awareness, sales, and go-to-market campaigns.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (preference for technical fields).
- 8+ years of experience, with 5+ years in product management.
- Experience in high-growth tech or finance environments, managing technical products and cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated entrepreneurial mindset and leadership.
Skills
- Deep understanding of web, mobile, and backend technologies, with experience in technical discussions with engineering teams.
- Expertise in data gathering, interpretation, and using insights for decision-making and prioritization.
- Proven leadership in product management, handling multiple stakeholders.
- Strong proficiency in user research, usability testing, and data analysis tools.
- Exceptional communication skills, including writing, editing, and public speaking.
- Strong problem-solving, strategic thinking, and organizational skills.
