The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced a rescheduling of the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) registration. Originally slated to commence on January 31, 2025, the registration will now begin on February 3, 2025. This adjustment is intended to allow the board to make essential modifications to its registration templates.
JAMB’s national spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, emphasized that the postponement aims to enhance the registration process, ensuring a seamless experience for all candidates. He also highlighted that the board has identified certain computer-based test (CBT) centers that obtained approval through deceptive means. JAMB is taking steps to disapprove such centers to maintain the integrity of the examination process.
The registration period will now run from February 3 to March 5, 2025, across all JAMB-accredited CBT centers nationwide. Candidates interested in participating in the 2025 UTME are advised to complete their registration within this window. Additionally, the expression of interest for JAMB’s 2025 mock UTME will close by February 23, with the mock examination scheduled for April 5. The main UTME is set to take place from April 25 to May 5, 2025.

Prospective candidates are reminded of the importance of accurate registration. Common mistakes to avoid include selecting incorrect subject combinations, providing inaccurate personal information, using inactive email addresses or phone numbers, and registering at unaccredited centers. Ensuring all details are correct and adhering to official guidelines will help prevent potential issues during the admission process.
JAMB acknowledges the inconvenience this postponement may cause and apologizes to candidates and stakeholders. The board assures the public that the additional time will be utilized to refine the registration process, ensuring a more efficient and user-friendly experience for all applicants.
For the most accurate and up-to-date information, candidates are encouraged to rely on official JAMB communications and consult the JAMB brochure and syllabus to confirm the correct subject combinations for their chosen courses and institutions
