Supporters of Arsenal F.C. in Surulere, Lagos, have formally notified security agencies of a planned peaceful victory parade scheduled for May 25, 2026, following the club’s reported English Premier League triumph for the 2025/2026 season.
A notice circulating online and signed by “Arsenal FC Supporters Surulere” was addressed to the Commissioner of Police at the Surulere State Command of the Nigeria Police Force in Bode Thomas, Lagos.
The letter, dated May 19, 2026, stated that the planned gathering is intended to celebrate Arsenal’s EPL victory and reassure authorities that the event would be peaceful.
According to the document, copies of the notice were also sent to several security and emergency response agencies in Lagos State, including the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), the Department of State Services (DSS), the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), and the Lagos State Traffic Management authorities.
