The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) is inviting applications from qualified candidates for the position of Application Developer. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to healthcare innovation through technology while working in a dynamic research environment.

Position Details

  • Job Title: Application Developer

  • Location: Ibadan, Nigeria

  • Duration: 6 months (renewable)

  • Closing Date: October 1, 2025

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

  • Provide technical support for the CAPREC application used in patient management, pharmacy inventory, and reporting.

  • Integrate new modules into existing systems as needed.

  • Support clinical, administrative, and statistical reporting.

  • Provide first-level support for software-related issues faced by the Medical Unit staff.

  • Assist in training users on new features, software updates, or tools.

  • Prototype new software solutions that enhance patient care and operational efficiency.

  • Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications and Requirements

Applicants should possess:

  • HND or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • At least two (2) years’ experience in a similar role within a structured environment.

Core Competencies

  • Proficiency in C# programming, SQL Server, WPF, and MVC.

  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
