The Sesor Empowerment Foundation is a non-profit organization based in Nigeria, committed to supporting survivors of conflict and emergencies, particularly internally displaced persons (IDPs). Established to cater to the needs of those affected by displacement in areas like Benue and Lagos, Sesor focuses on providing relief, advocating for the rights of IDPs, and facilitating rehabilitation. Their activities include distributing relief materials during crises and working tirelessly to ensure that displaced individuals regain a semblance of normal life through various supportive programs.

Two short-term Programme Assistant vacancies at Sesor Empowerment Foundation, Lekki Scheme II, Ajah, Lagos. Details are below:

Contract duration: 1 month (with possibility of extension)

Pay: N100,000

Start Date: On or before 1 March 2025

Duties: Provide administrative support for Sesor & Sesor partner programmes

Requirements:

1. Must be mature, focused, and someone who keeps to time
2. A quick learner
3. A reader of books
4. Proficient with MS Office apps mainly Word, Excel & PowerPoint and familiar with using collaborative working tools such as Google Drive and/or MS Teams.

About Sesor Empowerment Foundation

The Sesor Empowerment Foundation was founded by Ier Jonathan-Ichaver, a social entrepreneur and advocate for justice based in Lagos, Nigeria. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a Master’s degree in Political Management from The George Washington University.

Before founding Sesor in 2010, Ier gained valuable experience with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), working in both Nigeria and Switzerland as a specialist in fundraising and corporate alliances. Her broad expertise in the private sector, non-governmental organisations, and international development has been pivotal in driving Sesor’s mission to support displaced women and families across Nigeria. The Foundation focuses on relief, advocacy, and rehabilitation programmes to aid internally displaced persons (IDPs), ensuring they regain stability and dignity after crises.
