Savannah Energy has announced a vacancy for the position of Treasury Manager as the African-focused energy company continues to expand its operations and strengthen its finance leadership team in Nigeria.

About Role
The role, based in Victoria Island, is targeted at experienced finance professionals with deep expertise in treasury operations, banking relationships, liquidity management, and financial risk mitigation within the oil and gas sector.
According to the company, the successful candidate will oversee treasury operations in Nigeria, manage cash flow and liquidity strategies, monitor debt facilities, and support the organisation’s financial growth objectives.
The Treasury Manager will also work closely with the Head of Finance and other departments across the business.
Savannah Energy stated that applicants must possess a university degree in Accounting or a finance-related discipline alongside relevant professional certifications such as ICAN, ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
Candidates are also expected to have at least 15 years of treasury experience, including five years in a leadership role, preferably with an upstream oil and gas operator.
The company added that strong analytical ability, communication skills, financial planning expertise, and experience in debt refinancing and covenant reporting will be critical for the role.
Requirements
Applicants must also demonstrate the ability to build strong relationships with banks and lenders while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements from the Central Bank of Nigeria and the Federal Inland Revenue Service.
Among the responsibilities attached to the position are managing foreign exchange and interest rate risks, maintaining cash flow forecasts, optimizing working capital, and preparing treasury reports for senior management.
