PZ Cussons Nigeria Plc has appointed Ebenezer Oludare Elusakin to its Board of Directors as Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer, effective June 1, 2026.

Elusakin, who has served as Chief Financial Officer of the company since November 2024, has played a pivotal role in strengthening the company’s financial management framework and supporting its strategic business objectives across Africa.

A seasoned finance and commercial executive with over 20 years of experience spanning operations, corporate finance, investment management, and business transformation, Elusakin has built a distinguished career leading finance functions across multiple industries and geographies. His expertise covers financial planning and analysis, treasury management, corporate finance, investor relations, risk management, business performance optimisation, and strategic transactions.

In his current role as CFO Africa at PZ Cussons, Elusakin serves as a strategic business partner to the African leadership team, helping shape the company’s long-term direction, drive business performance, and optimize operational efficiency. He oversees the financial management of PZ Cussons’ African operations and leads finance teams across Nigeria, Ghana, and Kenya. His responsibilities span financial planning and analysis, tax management, financial reporting, accounting operations, risk management, investor relations, decision support, and corporate finance activities.\

Background

Before joining PZ Cussons, Elusakin was Group Chief Financial Officer at Eat’n’Go Limited, one of Sub-Saharan Africa’s leading quick-service restaurant operators. The company holds exclusive franchise rights for global brands including Domino’s Pizza, Cold Stone Creamery, and Pinkberry across 10 African countries. As Group CFO, he was responsible for corporate finance, financial control, strategic planning, fundraising, capital structure optimization, and supporting the company’s regional expansion ambitions.

Earlier, he served as Chief Financial Officer of Evercare Group Nigeria, where he oversaw the overall financial health of the healthcare business and served as a key adviser to the board and executive leadership team. He managed a broad finance organization covering treasury, tax, accounting operations, financial planning and analysis, inventory management, credit control, and business performance management.

Elusakin also held the position of Chief Financial Officer at ZOLA Electric Nigeria, where he established the company’s finance organization and developed the systems, structures, and governance frameworks required to support market entry, rapid growth, and operational scalability.

His leadership experience further includes serving as Financial Controller at Tropical General Investments (TGI) Group, where he helped establish finance and supply chain governance structures for newly created businesses.

Prior to these executive leadership roles, Elusakin spent nearly a decade in senior finance positions at Philips, Diageo, and Unilever. At Philips West Africa, he served as Head of Financial Planning and Analysis, partnering with regional leadership to drive business performance and strategic execution. During his tenure at Diageo, he led finance process transformation initiatives and managed shared service operations across key financial workstreams.

At Unilever, where he spent more than six years, Elusakin held several progressively senior positions including Factory Finance Controller, Assistant Financial Controller, Regional Consolidation Manager, and FI Lead for a major SAP implementation programme across Central and West Africa. His work involved financial reporting, statutory compliance, business controls, regional consolidation, and large-scale finance transformation projects across multiple African markets.

A Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), Elusakin holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, and has completed several executive management and leadership development programmes throughout his career.

His appointment to the Board reflects PZ Cussons Nigeria’s confidence in his financial leadership, strategic insight, and proven ability to drive sustainable growth and value creation across complex multinational organizations.
