Ouattara Takes Oath for Fourth Term as Ivory Coast President

Ivory Coast’s President Alassane Ouattara, 83, has officially been sworn in for a fourth term, reaffirming his position as the nation’s leader during a ceremony held on Monday.

Ouattara secured re-election in the October presidential poll, where he obtained close to 90% of the total votes, according to the country’s electoral commission.

The resounding victory paved the way for another mandate at the helm of the West African nation.

Speaking after taking the oath of office, the president pledged to uphold and protect the Ivorian constitution, emphasizing his commitment to stability, democratic governance, and national unity.

The inauguration marks the continuation of Ouattara’s long-standing influence in Ivory Coast’s political landscape, as his administration enters a new chapter amid both regional and domestic expectations.
