The Oxford and Cambridge Club of Nigeria held their annual Mayball on Saturday 29 June at the Eko Hotel and Suites. Mayballs are grand themed parties organised by the students of the Oxford and Cambridge University to celebrate the end of the academic year. The alumni of the famous universities organise Mayballs in many countries to continue this tradition and maintain the prestige and charm associated with the original May Balls held in Oxford and Cambridge.
These glamorous gatherings often feature elegant dinners, live entertainment, and elaborate themes that reflect the traditions of the historic universities. Alumni and guests dress in formal attire, enjoying a night of dancing, socializing, and reconnecting with fellow graduates. The 2024 Mayball of Oxford and Cambridge University graduates in Nigeria lived up to this billing. It was a night of glamour and charm. In the Nigerian spirit. Ijeoma Taylaur of Alpha African Advisory and Hakeem Onasanya, Membership Secretary, Oxford and Cambridge Club of Nigeria won the best dressed awards.
