The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has commenced its 2026 recruitment exercise, inviting qualified Nigerians to apply for entry-level positions across multiple professional and administrative cadres as part of efforts to strengthen its electoral operations.
According to a recruitment notice published on the commission’s official recruitment portal, applications opened on Monday, July 20, and will close on Monday, July 27, 2026.
Available Positions
1. Professional Cadre (Grade Levels 09, 10 and 12)
Includes:
- Accountant
- Clinical Officer
- Lawyer
- ICT Officer
- Engineer
- Quantity Surveyor
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (Master’s degree where applicable)
- Relevant professional certification (depending on profession)
- Minimum two years’ post-qualification experience
- NYSC discharge or exemption certificate
- Strong ICT, analytical and communication skills
2. Administrative Officer II (Registration Area Officer) – Grade Level 08
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree, HND or equivalent
- NYSC discharge/exemption/exclusion certificate
- Knowledge of data management and ICT tools
3. Executive Officer (Registration Officer) – Grade Level 07
Requirements:
- National Certificate in Education (NCE) or equivalent
- Computer literacy
- Good communication and organisational skills
General Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be 35 years old or younger
- Present a valid certificate of state of origin
- Be medically fit
- Have no criminal conviction
- Be willing to work anywhere in Nigeria
- Demonstrate integrity and discipline
