Nigerian skit maker and content creator Peller has alleged that some of the dollar notes sprayed on him during his recent wedding to Jarvis were counterfeit.
In a video shared on social media, Peller said he took the money he received at the ceremony to the bank, where he discovered that the Nigerian naira notes gifted to him were genuine. However, he claimed that a number of the dollar bills turned out to be fake.
According to him, he initially believed he had received a substantial amount of foreign currency and even used the cash while recording a celebratory video after the event.
“I went to the bank, and the Nigerian money was genuine. A lot of people gave me Nigerian currency, and that is good. I know the people who gave me genuine money.
“When I got home, I felt like a millionaire and used the dollars to make a video. Later, I realised the money was fake. Since I went to change the dollars, I haven’t been able to talk about it. Is it by force to spray money?” he said.
Peller said he could identify some of the guests who presented him with genuine naira notes but alleged that others sprayed counterfeit dollar bills during the celebration.
