“Good riddance to bad rubbish,” Reno Omokri mocks Obi, LP’s defeat in Edo guber

Reno Omokri Edo election

Former presidential aide and member of the Peoples Democratic Party, Reno Omokri, has mocked the defeat of the Labour party in the Edo gubernatorial race.

Arbiterz reported that Olumide Akpata, the former Nigeria Bar Association President, Olumide Akpata, contested in the election to represent the Edo people.

However, based on the results being collated so far, Asue Ighodalo of the People’s Democratic Party and Monday Okpebholo of the All Progressives Congress garnered most of the votes cast.

Speaking via his X handle on Sunday, Omokri berated the performance of the Labour Party in the election.

The PDP chieftain insisted Peter Obi would never become president of the country.

He wrote, “During the #NigerianElections2023, Peter Obi and his Labour Party won the Presidential election overwhelmingly in Edo State with 331,163 votes, representing 56.97% of the total votes cast. Edo gave Peter Obi the highest votes outside the Southeast by percentage of total votes cast.

“It shows how he and his supporters have alienated their allies that today, they have performed so poorly and are at a very distant third in a state where they were once number one.

“I hope Peter Obi can see the handwriting on the wall. He and his cronies could not account for money. They cannot manage their party. And most of all, their supporters are the rudest, crudest and most mannerless rudapests on planet Earth. They thrive on abuse, insults and threats.

“Good riddance to bad rubbish. Peter Obi will NEVER be President of Nigeria. Maybe Biafra, but certainly NEVER Nigeria!”
