A Scottish Arsenal supporter has praised the club for an extraordinary act of kindness after a traumatic experience at the Emirates last season when the fan and his young son Logan travelled down from Scotland for Arsenal’s game against Newcastle.
Before kick-off, Logan suffered a seizure. The family were taken away by medical staff and spent the next seven and a half hours in a London hospital. They never saw the match, the one in which Eze scored the winner.
“We got up the road a bit disappointed, So that was last year. We emailed Arsenal the next day on the way up the road.”
Logan was fine after checks. The club responded. They brought the family back down, arranged for them to meet players, and even sent a signed shirt to their door.
The family was eventually brought back for the Chelsea game over the weekend to their delight with the father stating “What a club, Well done to the club, well done all the way down from Scotland today and it weren’t a wasted journey was it? What a performance. Definitely, 100% they were amazing today.” He said.
He added that Logan “was absolutely buzzing” after meeting the players, even if some were focused and able only to say a quick sorry.
