The winners of the 2026 FIFA World Cup will make history by receiving custom-made championship rings in addition to lifting football’s most prestigious trophy after the final at New York New Jersey Stadium on Sunday, July 19, 2026.
The initiative marks the first time FIFA has introduced championship rings at any of its competitions, creating a new keepsake to commemorate victory on football’s biggest stage.
Limited-Edition Championship Rings
FIFA revealed that the rings are part of an exclusive collection of 2,026 individually numbered pieces, a tribute to the 2026 edition of the tournament.

Only 30 rings will be reserved for members of the World Cup-winning team, while the remaining 1,996 rings will be made available globally as officially licensed collectibles for football fans. Each championship ring has been designed to reflect the prestige of winning the FIFA World Cup.
One side features the iconic FIFA World Cup Trophy, while the opposite side will be customized with details representing the victorious nation. Every ring will also carry its own unique serial number, be individually fitted for its recipient, and come with a certificate of authenticity.
FIFA said the presentation of the championship rings will take place in two phases. Immediately after the World Cup final, the winning team’s captain and head coach will receive temporary championship rings during the on-field trophy celebrations.
The permanent rings for all 30 recipients will then be custom-sized and officially presented during a later ceremony, ensuring every player and staff member receives a personalized ring.
A New Tradition for an Expanded World Cup
The introduction of championship rings adds another milestone to the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which is also the first edition to feature 48 national teams.
While the FIFA World Cup Trophy and gold medals remain the sport’s ultimate prizes, the addition of championship rings provides the victorious squad with another lasting symbol of their achievement.
The new tradition also reflects the tournament’s North American setting, where championship rings have long been an iconic feature of major professional sports leagues.
