Prepaid meter

A customer has narrated how Ikeja Electric has failed to commission its prepaid meter despite having made the request in February and completing all the requirements.

As a result of the failure of Ikeja Electric to do the needful, the customer’s business has had to depend on generators to run smoothly, incurring humongous bills on PMS and Diesel. To further make matters worse, Ikeja Electric has continued to bill the customer for electricity not used.

“I laid the complaint on the 24th of February, and they told me it was about commissioning. Since then, I’ve called, I can’t count the number of times I’ve called.

“I also sent them an email on the 28th of April to Customercare@Ikejaelectric.com, which they have not responded to. They have continued sending us bills despite the prepaid meter not working.” The customer said.
