Join Microsoft as the next Government Affairs Policy Lead for Africa in the Corporate, External, and Legal Affairs (CELA) team. You will get to work with a fantastic team of lawyers and government affairs leaders operating across Africa.

About the Job

Location: Kenya, Nigeria, or South Africa

Full time | Strategic leadership role

Hybrid environment, collaborate across borders and cultures

This is a chance to shape technology policy across Africa at a continental level. You will work with pan-African institutions and advance harmonized approaches to AI, cloud, data governance, safety, and trusted digital trade.

Responsibilities

• Drive Microsoft’s policy agenda across Africa.

• Lead engagement with governments, regulators, and industry leaders.

• Build partnerships that influence public and technology policy priorities.

• Provide clear insights on the evolving policy landscape.

• Represent Microsoft in key forums and advise senior leadership.

• Lead pan-African engagement with AU organs, the AfCFTA Secretariat, UNECA, AfDB and others.

Requirements

•Advanced degree in Public Policy, Public Administration, Law, or related field, or equivalent experience

•Significant experience in government affairs, public policy, or corporate affairs

•Proven success managing strategic stakeholder relationships

•Strong understanding of Africa’s policy and regulatory environment

•Excellent advocacy, communication, and cross-cultural collaboration

•Fluent in English and French
