Seplat Energy Sets Naira-Denominated Q2 Dividend Exchange Rate at N1,360.58/$

Seplat Energy Plc has set the exchange rate for its second-quarter 2026 interim and special dividends at N1,360.58 to the US dollar for shareholders who elected to receive their dividends in naira.

The energy company announced the applicable rate on Thursday, saying it is based on the Nigerian Foreign Exchange Market (NFEM) rate published by the Central Bank of Nigeria on August 12.

Under Seplat Energy’s dividend payment procedures, the company will use the N1,360.58/$ exchange rate to determine the naira equivalent of both the Q2 2026 interim dividend and the special dividend payable to eligible shareholders.

The exchange rate is particularly relevant to shareholders who opted for naira payments, as shareholders receiving their dividends in US dollars will not require the conversion.

Seplat Energy said shareholders should refer to its July 30, 2026 announcement for details on the company’s default dividend currency and payment procedures.

The company’s latest dividend announcement comes after Seplat Energy reported a sharp increase in profitability in the first half of 2026, driven by higher production and stronger operating performance.
