Rainoil Limited has announced the appointment of Emmanuel Omuojine as Managing Director, marking a new phase in its long-term corporate restructuring and expansion strategy. The move follows the elevation of founder Dr. Gabriel Ogbechie to Chairman of the Board after years of steering the company’s growth within Nigeria’s downstream petroleum sector.
Rich Corporate Background
Emmanuel Omuojine brings nearly two decades of combined consulting and in-house energy sector leadership experience, most of it within the Rainoil Group.
Prior to his appointment, he served as Executive Director at Rainoil Limited from January 2022, while concurrently leading Rainoil Gas Limited as Managing Director since May 2023. His elevation to Group Managing Director consolidates his role across upstream strategic execution and downstream operational oversight.
Between 2014 and 2021, he served as Group Head of Strategy and Business Development, a role in which he was responsible for corporate planning, market expansion frameworks, and investment structuring across the group’s subsidiaries. This period is widely seen as foundational to Rainoil’s diversification into gas infrastructure and broader energy logistics.
Before joining Rainoil, Omuojine built a consulting career at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) Nigeria, where he rose through the advisory ranks over nearly a decade. His roles spanned Assistant Consultant, Consultant, and Manager in Strategy & Operations, focusing on corporate transformation, operational efficiency, and business restructuring mandates across financial services and energy-linked clients.
Academic Qualifications
Omuojine’s academic and professional credentials reinforce his corporate leadership profile. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Estate Management from the University of Lagos, graduating with Second Class Upper honors, and completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School in 2023.
He is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and completed executive training in Strategic Management through Wharton Online.
