BUA Cement Reports N324.9 billion H1 2026 Profit

BUA Cement Plc reported a profit after tax of N324.88 billion in H1 2026, driven by strong revenue growth to N728.93 billion, supported by sustained demand for both bagged and bulk cement across its markets.

Gross profit for the period was approximately N427 billion, reflecting disciplined cost management even as the company continued to navigate higher energy, raw material and foreign exchange costs.

For the second quarter alone, BUA Cement generated ₦373.95 billion in revenue and posted a profit after tax of ₦148.50 billion, translating to earnings per share of ₦4.39.

The company’s total assets increased to N1.92 trillion as of June 30, 2026, from N1.86 trillion at the end of 2025. Cash and short-term deposits stood at N303.56 billion, while property, plant and equipment amounted to N1.22 trillion.

Total equity closed the period at N659.13 billion, while borrowings increased to about N620 billion as the company continued financing expansion projects aimed at strengthening long-term production capacity.

BUA Cement also returned substantial value to shareholders, paying N338.64 billion in dividends during the period. The company remained compliant with the Nigerian Exchange’s free float requirements, with a free float value of approximately N266.63 billion.
