Brent crude gained 0.98% to $106.7 a barrel on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, while West Texas Intermediate (WTI) rose 1.89% to $95.92.
The rebound follows Tuesday’s decline and lifts both benchmarks higher, with WTI showing a stronger recovery. Markets continue to weigh improving physical supply from the Middle East against residual geopolitical risk linked to the unresolved U.S.-Iran situation.
Higher loadings through the Strait of Hormuz and ongoing operations on Saudi Arabia’s East-West pipeline have helped ease some earlier disruption concerns. At the same time, the absence of a clear diplomatic breakthrough has kept a risk premium in place.
This latest move continues the volatile pattern seen since mid-September, with prices fluctuating on shifting assessments of supply recovery and political developments.
