The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has officially appointed Max Air as the airline tasked with airlifting intending pilgrims from Jigawa State to Saudi Arabia for the 2025 Hajj pilgrimage.

The announcement came from Alhaji Ahmed Labbo, Director-General of the Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board, in a statement released on Thursday in Dutse by the board’s spokesman, Mr. Habibu Yusuf.

This decision underscores NAHCON’s dedication to ensuring a safe, efficient, and comfortable journey for Nigerian pilgrims.

Agreement Finalized at NAHCON Headquarters

Labbo revealed that the selection of Max Air followed a strategic management meeting and the formal signing of an agreement with airlines at NAHCON’s headquarters in Abuja.

The Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board has completed key arrangements to ensure pilgrims are well-equipped for their journey. Labbo confirmed that travelling bags and uniforms for the state’s intending pilgrims are now available for collection.
