The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has announced the commencement of online applications for the 2025 Hajj National Medical Team (NMT). The application process will open on 8th March 2025 at 12:00 midnight and will close on 14th March 2025 at 11:59 pm.
This recruitment drive seeks to enlist Medical Doctors, Pharmacists, Nurses, and Environmental/Community Health Officers (CHO/EHO) who will provide essential medical services to Nigerian pilgrims during the 2025 Hajj exercise in Saudi Arabia.
Application Process
Eligible applicants are required to visit NAHCON’s official website and navigate to the NMT Application Portal under the “Resources” section of the main menu. The application is entirely free, and the Commission has emphasized that no fees will be charged at any point, whether directly or through intermediaries.
Eligibility Criteria
- Doctors: Must be between 27 and 60 years old
- Pharmacists: Must be between 26 and 60 years old
- Nurses and CHO/EHO: Must be between 22 and 60 years old
- Applicants must be currently in active service at the time of application.
- Volunteer Requirement: Successful candidates must be prepared to work for 28 days in Saudi Arabia and remain in the Kingdom for up to 45 days before returning to Nigeria.
- To allow for broader participation, applicants who served on the NMT for the 2022, 2023, and 2024 Hajj exercises are not eligible to apply this year.
Documents Required
Each application must include the following documents:
- Completed Guarantor’s Form signed by a credible personality, such as a civil servant not below GL 15, a traditional ruler, magistrate, or local government chairman.
- Basic professional certificate relevant to the applicant’s field.
- NYSC discharge certificate (where applicable).
- Current professional practicing license.
- Recent passport photograph (white background).
- Employer’s clearance letter.
Code of Conduct and Commitment
The selected volunteers will be required to adhere strictly to professional ethics, maintain good conduct, and abide by all operational guidelines set by NAHCON during the Hajj period. Successful candidates cannot withdraw from service before completing the full 28-day duty period.
NAHCON has reiterated that this process is based on volunteerism, in line with international standards for Hajj medical missions. Selection will be merit-based, with applicants advancing through multiple screening stages. Only those who successfully pass all assessments will be contacted.
