FRSC Launches 2026 Recruitment Exercise Across Various Cadres – Apply Now

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has announced the commencement of its 2026 recruitment exercise, inviting suitably qualified Nigerians to apply for various positions across its officer, inspectorate, and road marshal cadres.

In a statement issued by the FRSC National Headquarters in Abuja, the Corps said the recruitment drive is aimed at strengthening road safety administration, traffic management, and operational efficiency across the country.

The Corps emphasized that the application process is entirely free and must be completed online through the official recruitment portal.

According to the announcement, interested candidates have until Friday, July 3, 2026, to submit their applications.

Available Positions

The recruitment exercise covers three major categories.

Officer Cadre

The first category includes positions within the Superintendent cadre, such as:

  • Superintendent Route Commander (SRC) – COMPASS 11
  • Route Commander/Deputy Route Commander (RC/DRC) – COMPASS 10/09
  • Assistant Route Commander (ARC) – COMPASS 08

Applicants for these positions are required to possess relevant university degrees from recognized institutions. Eligible qualifications include medicine, pharmacy, nursing, engineering, and other related disciplines.

Candidates must also present a valid NYSC discharge or exemption certificate and generally fall within the age bracket of 18 to 35 years.

Marshal Inspectorate Cadre

The second category covers positions within the Marshal Inspectorate cadre, including levels on COMPASS 07 and 06.

Applicants are expected to possess a National Diploma (ND), Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE), or equivalent qualifications in relevant fields. Candidates must be between 18 and 30 years old.

Road Marshal Assistant and Artisan Cadre

The third category includes:

  • Road Marshal Assistant II (RMAII)
  • Road Marshal Assistant III (RMAIII)
  • Drivers and Riders
  • Artisans such as computer operators, mechanics, electricians, and other technical personnel

Applicants are required to have a minimum of three credits in SSCE examinations, including English Language and Mathematics. Relevant technical skills and certifications may be required for artisan positions.

General Requirements

The FRSC stated that all applicants must:

  • Be Nigerian citizens by birth
  • Possess good character and be physically and mentally fit
  • Have no criminal record
  • Meet prescribed height and physical standards where applicable
  • Possess a valid driver’s licence for relevant positions

The Corps also advised pregnant women not to apply for operational roles due to the physical demands associated with the recruitment process.

Prospective candidates are required to:

  1. Visit the official recruitment portal.
  2. Complete and submit the online application form.
  3. Await notification for subsequent screening and verification exercises if shortlisted.

Warning Against Fraud

The FRSC warned applicants to be wary of fraudsters and individuals demanding payment in exchange for recruitment slots.

“The recruitment exercise is absolutely free,” the Corps stated, stressing that all applications are processed exclusively through the official online portal.
