The Federal Ministry of Women Affairs has partnered with Microsoft and technology education platform Founderz to launch a nationwide artificial intelligence (AI) training programme aimed at equipping Nigerian women with in-demand digital skills.
The initiative, which is open to women across Nigeria, is designed to provide participants with foundational knowledge in artificial intelligence while promoting greater female participation in the country’s growing technology ecosystem.
According to the organisers, the programme is fully funded and tailored for beginners, meaning applicants do not need any previous experience in technology or coding to participate.

Programme Focus
Participants will receive training on key AI concepts and practical applications, including:

The organisers say the curriculum is designed to help learners apply AI tools in their careers, businesses and everyday tasks while preparing them for future opportunities in the digital economy.
Certification and Scholarship Opportunities
Women who successfully complete the training will earn a joint certificate issued by Microsoft and Founderz. The certification is expected to strengthen participants’ professional profiles and improve their competitiveness in the job market.
In addition to the certification, outstanding participants may qualify for fully funded scholarships that provide access to advanced training in artificial intelligence and innovation leadership.
