The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has announced the commencement of the next phase of its 2024/2025 recruitment exercise, inviting eligible applicants to proceed with physical screening and document verification.
In a statement issued by the Board’s Secretary, Major General Abdulmalik Jibril (Rtd.), the CDCFIB said candidates who participated in the Computer-Based Test (CBT) conducted in November 2025 should visit the official recruitment portal to check their application status and complete the required screening procedures.
The Board disclosed that shortlisted candidates will be able to upload their credentials and select their preferred screening date and venue after logging into the recruitment portal using the application number generated during their initial registration.

Screening Verification Begins June 15
According to the notice, applicants are expected to access the recruitment portal from Monday, June 15, through Friday, June 20, 2026, to verify whether they have been shortlisted for the next stage of the recruitment process.
Candidates who successfully make the shortlist will be required to submit supporting documents online and choose their preferred physical screening location from the options available on the portal.
The Board urged applicants to carefully follow all instructions provided on the platform to avoid disqualification or delays in the screening process.
Recruitment Exercise Remains Free
The CDCFIB reiterated that the recruitment process remains entirely free of charge and warned applicants against making payments to individuals or groups claiming they can influence the selection process.
According to the Board, no fees are required for shortlisting, venue allocation, document uploads, access to screening centres, or final selection.
The agency cautioned job seekers to be vigilant against fraudsters who may attempt to exploit applicants through fake recruitment messages, unofficial links, or false promises of employment assistance.
Warning Against Recruitment Scams
The Board stressed that all official updates regarding the recruitment exercise will be communicated exclusively through its official recruitment portal and recognised communication channels.
It advised applicants and members of the public to disregard unauthorised messages circulating online and to verify all recruitment information through official CDCFIB platforms.
The announcement comes as thousands of applicants await the outcome of the nationwide recruitment exercise covering agencies under the Board, including the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS), Federal Fire Service (FFS), and the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS).
Commitment to Transparency
The CDCFIB said it remains committed to conducting a transparent, merit-based, and credible recruitment exercise in line with established regulations governing federal recruitment processes.
The Board added that the physical screening and document verification stage is aimed at ensuring that only qualified candidates progress to the final stages of the recruitment exercise.
