CBEX Promoter, Adefowora Abiodun Voluntarily Surrenders to EFCC

Adefowora Abiodun, one of those declared wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) concerning the Crypto Based Exchange (CBEX) scam has voluntarily surrendered to the EFCC.

Abiodun, accompanied by his lawyers, turned himself in at the EFCC headquarters at 4 pm on Monday, following the arrest warrant issued in a ruling by Justice Emeka Nwite of the Federal High Court in Abuja, on Thursday.

Upon turning himself in, Abiodun expressed willingness to cooperate with the EFCC in the course of investigations. The other five declared wanted in relation to the crime – Adefowora Oluwanisola, Emmanuel Uko, Seyi Oloyede, Avwerosuo Otorudo, and Chukwuebuka Ehirim are currently still at large.

About The Alleged Crime

The six suspects declared wanted are said to have promoted an elaborate crypto exchange scam and fraudulent investment scheme which recently crashed leading to a loss of over $1 billion for Nigerians.
