Days 1-2: Rio de Janeiro

Arrive in Rio, Brazil’s larger-than-life colourful capital, to check into Rio Othon Palace for a two-night stay. Discover the rhythm of the capital at your own pace, whether it be with a night of samba, a day’s hiking the iconic Sugarloaf Mountain, a breath-taking cablecar ride, or some unwinding on the golden sands of Ipanema beach. (Meals: breakfast)

Day 3: Rio de Janeiro

Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

Your trans-Atlantic adventure starts today: after a leisurely breakfast you’ll be transferred to the port to embark the MSC Seaview at 9pm, for your incredible 15-night cruise along the coast of Brazil and Spain. (Meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner)

 

Day 4: Buzios

Sail to Buzios, Brazil, which you’ll arrive in at 10.30am. Spend the day at leisure, exploring the town’s blissful sandy beaches and turquoise waters, before heading back onto your cruise ship in time for its departure at 6.30pm. (Meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner)

 

Day 5: At sea

Spend the day at sea, en route to Salvador. (Meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner)

Day 6: Salvador

Salvador, Brazil
Arrive in Salvador at 7am and spend the day at leisure here, taking in its colonial architecture, ultra-scenic bay, historic centre and beaches. Depart at 5pm to spend the next few days at sea, en route to Spain. (Meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner)

Days 7-12: At sea

Spend your time at sea, enjoying the luxurious comforts of your cruise ship – from the outdoor pool with its incredible vistas, to the indulgent Aurea Spa offering Balinese massages, to the live music and events taking place across the impressive four-deck atrium. (Meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner)

Day 13: Santa Cruz de Tenerife

Plaza Espana, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Spain

Arrive in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Spain at 8am and spend the day at leisure here, exploring the scenic Plaza de España, plentiful museums and picturesque Rural de Anaga park, or simply unwinding on Playa de Las Teresitas beach. Embark your cruise ship for a 5pm departure. (Meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner)

Day 14: At sea

Spend the day at sea, en route to Cadiz. (Meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner)

Day 15: Cadiz

Arrive in Cadiz at 9am and spend the day at leisure, perhaps touring the Castle of Santa Catalina, the 1700s Torre Tavira lookout tower, and the Baroque Cadiz Cathedral. Depart at 7pm, en route to your next Spanish destination. (Meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner)

Day 16: Málaga

Malaga, Spain

Arrive in Màlaga at 7am and spend the day at leisure here. Home to the Moorish Alcazaba palace, a Picasso Museum and the hilltop Castillo Gibralfaro, plus a mouth-watering foodie scene, you’ll have plenty ways to keep busy here before embarking your ship for departure at 7pm. (Meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner)

Day 17: At sea

Spend the day at sea, en route to Barcelona. (Meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner)

 

Day 19: Barcelona – UK
Barcelona, Spain

Arrive in Barcelona at 7am and disembark your cruise ship for the last time, to discover the famous Spanish city at your own pace: eat your way across tapas restaurants aplenty, tour Gaudi’s famous landmarks and unwind for an hour or two on the beach, before heading to the airport for your same-day flight back to the UK. (Meals: breakfast)

Please be aware that no tours are included as part of this itinerary; you’re welcome to disembark your cruise ship to visit all destinations at your own pace, however, visits to local attractions may incur a supplementary charge.
