Moshood Olajide has been appointed as the Group Chief Executive Officer of Axxela, succeeding Timothy Ononiwu.
Olajide brings nearly two decades of experience spanning energy, finance, corporate governance, taxation, regulatory advisory, and legal services.
Prior to his appointment, he served as Managing Director of Ardova Plc, where he led the company’s strategic transformation and business growth initiatives within Nigeria’s downstream energy sector.
Before becoming Managing Director in September 2023, he was Executive Director, Finance and Business Support at Ardova Plc, overseeing finance, strategy, corporate services, and operational support functions.
In addition to his executive leadership roles, Olajide previously served as an Independent Non-Executive Director at Tangerine Africa, contributing to strategic oversight and governance between 2020 and 2025.
Earlier in his career, he built extensive professional experience at PwC, where he rose to the position of Partner. During his time at the firm, he also served as General Counsel for the West Africa Market Area and held several leadership positions within the Tax and Regulatory Services practice, advising major corporations on taxation, regulatory compliance, corporate restructuring, and business strategy.
He began his professional career at leading commercial law firm Aluko & Oyebode, where he worked as an Associate between 2008 and 2012.
Olajide holds a Master of Laws (LLM) degree from Columbia Law School in the United States and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife.
His appointment is expected to strengthen Axxela’s growth strategy as the company continues to expand its footprint across Nigeria’s energy and gas infrastructure sectors.
