The CFA Institute has announced the opening of applications for the CFA Institute Access Scholarship Program, an initiative aimed at making the globally recognized CFA® Program more affordable for individuals with financial limitations.
The scholarship is designed to support aspiring finance professionals who may not be able to pay the full cost of enrolling in the CFA Program while promoting the organization’s mission of ethics, education, and professional excellence in the investment industry.
About the CFA Institute Access Scholarship
The Access Scholarship significantly reduces the cost of registering for the CFA Program exams. Beginning with scholarships awarded from 4 March 2026 onward, successful applicants will pay a reduced exam registration fee of USD 400 under the Premium Registration Package, which also includes access to the Practice Pack.
Applicants who received scholarships before 4 March 2026 will not receive complimentary access to the Practice Pack.
The scholarship is available for eligible candidates across different CFA Program levels depending on the exam cycle.
2027 CFA Access Scholarship Application Windows
The CFA Institute has outlined four application periods aligned with upcoming CFA exam windows.
February 2027 Exams – Levels I and III

- Decision Date: 23 June 2026
May 2027 Exams – Levels I and II
- Applications Open: 12 August 2026
- Application Deadline: 1 September 2026
- Decision Date: 30 September 2026
August 2027 Exams – Levels I, II, and III
- Applications Open: 3 November 2026
- Application Deadline: 24 November 2026
- Decision Date: 18 December 2026
November 2027 Exams – Levels I and II
- Applications Open: 9 February 2027
- Application Deadline: 2 March 2027
- Decision Date: 31 March 2027
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must meet all admission requirements for the CFA Program before applying for the Access Scholarship. Candidates are advised to carefully review the official scholarship rules and eligibility criteria before submitting an application.
The CFA Institute also warns that providing false or misleading information during the application process may result in disciplinary action under the CFA Institute Code of Ethics and Standards of Professional Conduct. Penalties may include suspension from the CFA Program and future scholarship ineligibility.
