Orbis International, an international eye care charity, is hiring a Vice President, Corporate Partnerships to lead Orbis International’s global strategy for corporate and private sector engagement.
This role is responsible for diversifying and significantly expanding revenue from private sector partners worldwide while positioning Orbis as a partner of choice across industries not only within eye health, but across adjacent and complementary sectors.

- Expands partnerships beyond traditional eye health sectors into new industries and shared value platforms.
- Develops innovative, multi-country partnerships aligned with Orbis’s Global Strategy.
- Builds revenue across cash, unrestricted support, cause marketing, employee engagement, sponsorship, shared value, and strategic alliances.
- Elevates Orbis’s presence in key policy windows and global convenings.
- Supports flagship initiatives including the (in-formation) Aviation Advisory Committee and Aviation Gala.
This leader will work closely not only with the Chief Development Officer, but also with the CEO, Board of Directors, Chief Program Officer, Executive Leadership Team, regional leaders, and global affiliates to unlock transformational partnerships.
Key Areas Of Responsibility
Global Strategy & Growth
- Develop and execute a bold, multi-year global private sector partnerships strategy aligned with Orbis’s Global Strategic Plan.
- Grow and diversify the current corporate portfolio with a focus on unrestricted and scalable funding.
- Expand engagement beyond eye health into adjacent sectors including health systems, pharmaceuticals, technology, logistics, aviation, financial services, consumer brands, and other industries aligned with Orbis’s mission.
- Establish clear partnership frameworks and guidelines to coordinate engagement across headquarters, affiliates, and country offices, avoiding duplication and maximizing impact.
- Identify and pursue high-value global and multi-country partnership opportunities.
Executive & Board Engagement
- Partner closely with the CEO and Board to identify, cultivate, and secure corporate partnerships through their networks.
- Lead strategy and execution for corporate engagement tied to the annual Gala and Aviation Gala.
- Support and steward the Aviation Advisory Committee, ensuring alignment between aviation-sector partnerships and Orbis’s broader fundraising strategy.
- Prepare senior leadership for high-level corporate meetings and policy engagements.
Strategic Partnerships & Program Alignment
- Work closely with the Chief Program Officer to align corporate partnerships with priority program models, geographic portfolio strategy, and scale ambitions.
- Support engagement around key policy windows, global health convenings, and moments of sector visibility.
- Collaborate with global affiliates to strengthen private sector fundraising capacity and pursue joint partnership opportunities.
- Ensure that partnerships are impact-led, measurable, and aligned with Orbis’s safeguarding and ethical standards.
Pipeline Development & Stewardship
- Lead systematic prospect identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies.
- Develop innovative value propositions tailored to global and regional corporate priorities, including ESG, shared value, and CSR strategies.
- Oversee compliance, reporting, and stewardship processes to ensure long-term retention and growth of partnerships.
Budgeting, Operations & Analytics
- Develop and manage corporate revenue forecasts and expense budgets.
- Partner with Research & Analytics to leverage data and pipeline metrics for strategic decision-making.
- Strengthen internal systems and processes to support scalable private sector fundraising globally.
Leadership & External Representation
- Build and mentor a high-performing corporate partnerships team.
- Foster a culture of ambition, collaboration, and accountability.
- Represent Orbis externally in corporate forums, cross-sector convenings, and public events.
- Position Orbis as a strategic, innovative partner capable of delivering measurable impact at scale.
How to Apply
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in corporate fundraising, private sector partnerships, or strategic alliances within a global nonprofit or development organization.
- Proven success securing seven-figure+ corporate partnerships.
- Demonstrated experience leading global or multi-country partnership efforts.
- Experience working closely with CEOs, Boards, and executive leadership teams.
- Strong understanding of global health, international development, or humanitarian sectors preferred.
- Demonstrated experience managing teams and complex proposal processes.
- Willingness to travel internationally (~20–25%).
