The AFRIKA KOMMT! fellowship programme, an initiative of German industry, has launched its 15th intake for 2026, offering young African professionals a transformative one-year opportunity in Germany.

This fully funded programme connects high-potential talents from across Africa with leading German companies for hands-on professional experience, immersion in German business culture and working processes, leadership development, and valuable networking for career acceleration.

Key Highlights of 15th Intake

– 35 fellowship positions available across 7 top German companies: B. Braun SE, BioNTech SE, Boehringer Ingelheim GmbH, Merck KGaA, ODDO BHF, Robert Bosch GmbH, and SAP SE.
– Fellows gain first-hand practical experience in a leading German company, refine leadership competencies, and build international networks.
– The programme includes intensive German language training, a structured leadership and management curriculum, and a paid corporate placement.
– It starts in November 2026 in Germany and runs for one year.

Eligibility and Requirements

Applicants must:
– Be citizens of any African country.
– Hold a university degree (postgraduate degrees like MBA are advantageous).
– Have 2–5 years of professional work experience.
– Demonstrate strong leadership potential.
– Be proficient in English (excellent skills required); German knowledge is not mandatory at application but will be developed during the programme.
– Typically be under 35 years old (though confirm exact criteria on the site).
