The Nigerian Army (NA) has officially announced the release of the list of successful candidates shortlisted for the Direct Short Service Commission (DSSC) Course 29/2026 Selection Board.

According to a public announcement issued by the Army, shortlisted candidates are to report for screening and selection at the Nigerian Army School of Infantry (NASI), Jaji, Kaduna State.

Screening & Selection Details

Venue: Nigerian Army School of Infantry (NASI), Jaji, Kaduna State

Reporting Date: 22 February 2026

Time: 9:00am prompt

Selection Exercise Dates: 23 February – 8 March 2026

Required Items For Candidates

Shortlisted candidates are required to come along with the following items:

Writing materials

Four (4) copies of recent coloured passport photographs

Four (4) copies of recent full-size coloured photographs (standing position in suit)

Each full-size photograph must have the following details written at the back:

Surname

First name

Other name

Date of birth

Service number (for serving personnel only)

Current unit (for serving personnel only)

Other required items include:

Scratch cards for online confirmation of WAEC and/or NECO results

Three (3) plain white short-sleeve vests

Three (3) pairs of blue shorts

One pair of canvas shoes/trainers and three (3) pairs of white socks

Bucket and toiletries

Set of cutleries (plate and drinking cups)

Beddings including blankets, bedspread, mosquito net, and pillowcases

Selection Exercise

The Nigerian Army stated that the DSSC selection exercise will include:

Physical screening

Medical examination

Aptitude tests

Oral interview for all candidates

Documents Required

Candidates must present originals and photocopies of the following documents neatly arranged in a file jacket:

All academic and professional certificates

Primary and secondary school certificates

Testimonials

NYSC discharge certificate or valid exemption certificate, where applicable

The Army warned applicants to avoid unofficial sources and individuals claiming to influence the recruitment process, stressing that the exercise is free, transparent, and merit-based.
