Who Can Apply

The program targets both civilian professionals and serving military personnel who meet specific academic and professional standards.

Additional requirements include minimum heights of 1.68 meters for men and 1.65 meters for women, valid identification documents, a clean criminal record, and absence of tattoos or bodily inscriptions.

New applicants must create an account and verify their email address before proceeding.

Required documents include passport photographs, educational certificates from primary through post-secondary levels, professional body membership evidence where applicable, state of origin certificates, birth certificates, and National Identification Numbers or Bank Verification Numbers.

National Security Context

This recruitment drive follows President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s November 2025 declaration of a nationwide security emergency, which mandated expanded recruitment across Nigeria’s Armed Forces and police services.

The Nigerian Air Force recently announced interview dates for its own DSSC program, while the Nigerian Navy inducted nearly 2,000 new ratings in December 2025.

Additionally, over 7,000 forest guards from seven states completed training under the Presidential Forest Guards program last month.

The Army emphasized that the DSSC program is designed to strengthen its officer corps by attracting professionals with specialized skills essential to operational, technical, and support functions across the service.
