Elon Musk Becomes First Person to Cross $700 Billion Net Worth

Elon Musk has set a new global wealth record after his personal fortune surged beyond $700 billion, making him the richest individual in modern history by a wide margin.

The sharp rise followed a US court decision that reinstated a long-disputed compensation agreement linked to his leadership at Tesla.

The ruling revived a stock-option package first approved in 2018, dramatically increasing the value of Musk’s holdings.

With Tesla shares reacting positively, the restored options alone are now worth well over $100 billion, pushing his estimated net worth close to $750 billion and cementing his position at the top of the global rich list.

Musk’s wealth has also been fueled by growing expectations around his other businesses.

Speculation over a potential public listing of SpaceX has further boosted valuations, while investor confidence remains strong in Tesla’s expansion beyond electric vehicles into artificial intelligence, robotics, and automation.

Beyond Tesla and SpaceX, Musk controls a portfolio of high-profile ventures, including satellite internet firm Starlink, neurotechnology company Neuralink, tunnel-building startup The Boring Company, AI company xAI, and social media platform X.

Together, these businesses have propelled his fortune far ahead of other tech billionaires, underscoring his outsized influence across technology, space, and artificial intelligence.
