Unilever Nigeria Plc recorded a net profit of N15.60 billion in H1 2026, an 8.3% increase over the N14.41 billion reported in the first half of 2025.
According to the company’s unaudited financial statements for the six months ended June 30, 2026, revenue increased to N119.92 billion, representing a 22.2% rise from N98.10 billion recorded in the corresponding period of 2025.
Gross profit climbed 30% to N54.74 billion from N42.12 billion a year earlier while operating profit rose to N24.36 billion, up from N18.81 billion and profit before tax increased 20.8% to N29.18 billion from N24.15 billion.
Revenue for the three months ended June stood at N60.75 billion, up from ₦N51.13 billion in the second quarter of 2025, while quarterly net profit eased marginally to N8.58 billion from ₦N.85 billion, suggesting continued pressure from operating costs despite stronger sales.
The company’s total assets stood at N177.24 billion, while cash and cash equivalents reached N97.15 billion.
Unilever Nigeria has continued investing in its manufacturing operations with ongoing projects at its Oregun and Agbara manufacturing facilities. The company also reported an impairment write-back on trade receivables while finance costs remained broadly stable.
The company attributed the impressive H1 2026 performance to resilient consumer demand, effective pricing strategies and continued investment in brand-building and distribution, even as elevated raw material costs and broader macroeconomic headwinds continued to weigh on operating conditions.
