Former Minister of Science and Technology Uche Nnaji was reportedly arrested on Wednesday at the Akanu Ibiam International Airport in Enugu while preparing to board a chartered flight to Abuja.
According to reports, security operatives took the former minister into custody at the airport in what appears to be the latest development in an ongoing corruption investigation.
Expected Transfer to ICPC
Sources familiar with the matter said Nnaji is expected to be handed over to the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) for questioning.

The anti-corruption agency has reportedly been investigating the former minister since his resignation from office last year.
Investigation Linked to Alleged Certificate Forgery
The investigation is said to stem from allegations that Nnaji submitted forged academic certificates during his time in public office.
The claims reportedly prompted a probe that eventually led to his resignation from the Federal Executive Council.
Authorities have yet to publicly disclose the full scope of the investigation or whether formal charges have been filed.
Awaiting Official Response
As of the time of publication, neither the ICPC nor representatives of the former minister had issued an official statement confirming the arrest or providing further details on the case.
More information is expected as the investigation progresses.
