Global fast-food giants McDonald’s has appointed business Ugwechi Amadi as its Senior Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer. Amadi brings extensive experience in corporate strategy, business transformation, and organisational leadership.
Seasoned Professional
Before joining McDonald’s, she served as Executive Vice President and Head of Corporate Strategy and Development at LIV Golf, where she led enterprise-wide strategic planning, drove innovation, and aligned business priorities to accelerate growth.
She also had a stint with Nike as Vice President, Head of Global Operations Strategy where she led strategy for all functions reporting into Nike’s Chief Operating Officer and Served as thought partner to the COO, guiding annual planning, enterprise transformation priorities, and strategic investment decisions.
In this role, Ugwechi Amadi was accountable for Technology and digital transformation, Consumer demand and supply management, Product and marketplace supply chain, Sustainability, Procurement and Workplace design and connectivity among other things.
She has also being Head of Nike’s Global Communications Strategy and Principal at Boston Consulting Group (BCG) where she served global consumer brands across the apparel, retail, and hospitality sectors.
Ugwechi Amadi holds Bachelor of Science – BS, Brain and Cognitive Sciences with a minor in Biology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology as well as a PhD in Clinical Neuroscience from the University of Oxford.
