The Nigeria Police Force has commenced the medical screening phase for candidates in the ongoing 2022 recruitment of police constables. According to a statement signed by the Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the exercise began on February 26, 2025, and will run until March 12, 2025.
The screening is being conducted at the 17 Police Zonal Headquarters across the country, where invited candidates are expected to undergo various medical evaluations to determine their fitness for service.
This stage follows the Computer-Based Test (CBT) conducted nearly a year ago, on March 5th and 6th, 2024. Following the CBT, the first batch of successful applicants proceeded to training, while the current exercise focuses on another group of candidates who met the necessary requirements.
The Police Force has urged all candidates who participated in the CBT to check their application status on the official recruitment portal — https://apply.policerecruitment.gov.ng — and print their invitation slips if selected for the medical screening.
This latest phase marks a critical step in the long-running 2022 recruitment process, aimed at strengthening the ranks of the Nigeria Police Force through the addition of new constables.
The Police further advised candidates to adhere strictly to the guidelines and schedule for the screening to avoid disqualification.
