Nnamdi Azikiwe University has received ₦19,797,500 from the Nigerian Education Loan Fund as part of tuition loan disbursements for the 2025/2026 academic session, with 175 students benefiting from the latest payment.
The payment forms part of the Federal Government’s ongoing implementation of the student loan programme, which channels approved tuition fees directly to eligible tertiary institutions on behalf of successful applicants.
With the latest disbursement, Nnamdi Azikiwe University joins the growing number of Nigerian higher institutions receiving NELFUND payments aimed at reducing financial barriers to higher education and improving access for qualified students.
NELFUND, established under the Student Loans (Access to Higher Education) Act, oversees the administration of the federal student loan scheme, which provides financial assistance to eligible students enrolled in approved public tertiary institutions across Nigeria. The fund has continued to expand its reach through successive rounds of institutional disbursements.
