The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has issued a critical update for candidates shortlisted in its ongoing 2025 recruitment exercise, urging them to complete a mandatory online form ahead of the final screening stage.
In an official notice released on Wednesday, the Service directed all successful applicants from previous phases to visit the NCS Recruitment Update Portal to submit required details.
The portal will remain open until 11:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 10, 2026, after which no further submissions will be accepted.
Final Screening Requirement
According to the NCS, the information provided through the portal will be used to update candidates’ profiles ahead of the final interview and physical screening exercise, marking the concluding stage of the recruitment process.
Applicants have been strongly advised to ensure that all submitted information is accurate, complete, and verifiable, as discrepancies may lead to disqualification.
NCS Warns Against Recruitment Scams
The Service reiterated that the recruitment process is entirely free of charge, warning candidates against fraudulent schemes.
“The Nigeria Customs Service does not require any payment at any stage of the recruitment process,” the notice stated.
Candidates are urged to:
Disregard unsolicited messages requesting payment
Avoid dealing with unofficial agents or intermediaries
Rely solely on verified NCS communication channel
The upcoming phase will determine final selection across key cadres such as: Superintendent, inspectorate and Customs Assistant
