FirstHoldCo Plc has become Nigeria’s most valuable banking stock after its market capitalisation crossed the N5 trillion mark during Wednesday’s trading.
The company’s shares traded between N112 and N113 in Wednesday’s intraday trading, extending gains from Tuesday’s closing price of N105.00 lifting its market value above N5 trillion.
FirstHoldCo H1 2026 Results
First HoldCo recently reported gross earnings of N1.93 trillion and a profit before tax of N653.5 billion in H1 2026, reflecting stronger operating performance across its businesses.

Profit after tax rose 81.6% year-on-year to ₦526.13 billion while earnings per share increased to ₦11.74, reflecting improved profitability amid Nigeria’s high interest rate environment.
The group reported net interest income of ₦762.99 billion, highlighting resilient earnings despite maintaining conservative provisions against credit risks.
The group also reported total assets: ₦30.65 trillion, Customer deposits: ₦21.93 trillion, Net loans and advances: ₦9.51 trillion and Total equity: ₦3.63 trillion.
